A bold attention-getter in deep molten orange with a 3/4” velvety crimson red bulls eye and a deep olive green throat. There are deep chrome yellow darts from throat into the eye. Deep orange-red veins highlight the blooms. Form is rounded triangular with sepals recurving strongly. Ruffled with some fringing. Gathered ruffles fold over. Velvety; heavy substance. Three-way branching, 18-22 buds. A flower as loud and hot as the center of blues and jazz for which it is named.
