Will it fly or just glow? This extra large variant-like flower will light up any planting. Its blooms are cream yellow with hearts of lime green, yellow rays from the center and raised cream tinted pink midribs-a cool but vibrant color combination. Yet it's the form that sets this daylily apart - two sepals pinch, twist, and stand up while wide petals strongly recurve, giving the "in-flight" look. Long segments are very waved, crimped and lightly ruffled. Form does vary some depending of location and weather. Sepals are ruffled. Velvety texture, heavy substance. Low-growing with three-way branching and 15-17 buds.
