Once in a while a daylily comes along that creates a lasting legacy. MARIETTA MOMENTO is such a plant. Not only does it stop you in your tracks, but it transmits its ruffling, fringing, superb form and branching to its seedlings. MARIETTA MOMENTO is a cream flushed pink with bright pink midribs, a very green throat topped by lemony chartreuse, and light yellow fringed edges. This is THE plant for breeding fringing into diploids. Form is very full, very over lapped with all segments recurving at tips. Very velvety texture; heavy substance. Four-way branching, 20-24 buds.
