Danger! You will not be bitten by this "toothed" flower, but you will be smitten. These beguiling blooms are a medium velvety black purple with gleaming yellow teeth along the edges. Center is a cloverleaf pattern of chrome yellow with a light green heart. Sepals have a creamy yellow hairline edge. Purple stamen and black veins accentuate the flowers. Form is semi-flat, overlapped, and triangular. All segments arch and recurve at the tips. Very velvety texture, heavy substance that really withstands the hot sun. Very ruffled, bubbled, fringed and toothed. Sepals sport tiny gathered ruffles. Best Seedling, Sandhills Daylily Club Show, 2001. Four-way branching, 20-24 buds. This one is a wow!
