VOICES IN THE NIGHT
(Elizabeth O. Shooter, 2002)
26 M-ML Re Noc Fr SE. #92-Blank #2. 7 - 2 3/4 - 1 3/4.
Diploid.
Like a shimmering ruby, this very dark wine, ruby red
sparkles across the garden. The large flowers are accented by 2 1/2"
centers of apple green topped by red dusted over green and a faint deeper
red eye. Black veins, red stamen, lavender-red midribs, and a hairline
edge of lavender add to the blooms' beauty. Form is flat, triangular with
petals pinching along ribs and sepals quilling or twisting. Diamond dusted.
Very velvety texture; ribbed; heavy substance. Holds very well. Three-way
branching, 16-22 buds.
