It's long blooming habit contributes great distance color to the front of the border. As a seedling , LBB was part of an exchange of bright orange seedlings with David Kirtchhief back in the late 80's. When Curt Hansen visited David K.,These seedlings caught his attention and he selected one to use in his program. So this line of hot orange seedlings became one of the parents to the 2003 Stout Metal winner.( PRIMAL SCREEM) I doubt if it was LBB because of the petal width. The daylily enthusiastics were hungry for this hot color and Curt made the magic cross. We haven't seen the last of this bright color and LITTLE BRASS BAND will probably make it's contributions.
